Job Summary: As a Dementia Care Specialist for In-Home Alzheimer’s Support at Elite360Care, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, individualized care to clients with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Your role will involve managing symptoms, offering emotional support, and implementing strategies to enhance the quality of life for both clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personalized Care: Deliver direct care tailored to the needs of individuals with Alzheimer’s and other dementias, including assistance with daily living activities, personal hygiene, and mobility.
  • Behavioral Management: Implement and manage strategies to address challenging behaviors and cognitive decline, utilizing approaches designed to improve quality of life and reduce distress.
  • Safety and Supervision: Ensure a safe and secure environment, monitoring clients closely to prevent wandering, accidents, and other potential hazards.
  • Emotional Support: Provide emotional support and companionship, engaging clients in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function and emotional well-being.
  • Family Support and Education: Offer support and education to family members about dementia care techniques, coping strategies, and available resources.
  • Health Monitoring: Observe and report changes in clients’ health and behavior, administer medications as prescribed, and communicate with healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, including observations, behavior patterns, and interactions with clients and family members.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; certification or training in dementia care preferred.
